As a Blogger You must know these Blog Terms

Blog - This is short for web log or weblog, an online dated diary listing your periodic thoughts on often in reverse chronological order.

Blogger or Blogging - The person who writes for a blog is referred to as a blogger and the act of writing for the blog is known as blogging.

Blogosphere - This refers to the collective community of all blogs and bloggers on the Internet.

Blog-storm – a large amount of blogosphere activity due to particular controversy. Also called Blog Swarm.

Blogroll - A list of other blogs that a blogger might recommend by providing links to them (usually in a sidebar list).

Moblogging or Moblogs- A blog that is maintained by using a mobile device

Blog This - a function allows a blogger to blog the entry they are reading

Blog Digest - A blog regularly that reports on or summarizes a number of other blogs, typically on a daily basis.

Blook - a book created from a blog.

Blog Mute - Someone who only occasionally blogs.
Dark Blog- A non-public blog

Blogopotamus - A long blog post

Blogorrhea – Unusually high output of articles in a blog.

Blog Carnival -A blog article that contains links to other articles covering a specific topic.

Bloggies- Annual blogging awards.

The BOBs -The largest international blog awards.

Bleg - An entry in a blog requesting information or assistance etc.

Blog hopping – jumping from one blog to another

Blogroach - A commenter who rudely disagrees with posted content

Blogsnob – refusing to respond to blog comments from “not-friends”.

Doppelblogger – plagiarizing the content of another blogger.

Blogstar- blogger running a popular blog

Metablog – A blog about blogging.
Anonoblog – A blog by an anonymous blogger

Blawg – A blog blogged by lawyer or legal stuff

CEOBlog – Blog run by a chief executive officer.

Biz Blog - A blog owned and operated by a business or corporation.

Milblog - A military blog.

Plog - A project blog.

Movlogs - Mobile video blogs.

Splog- A spam blog

Tech blog – Blog that focused on a technical subject.

Linguablog – Blog about linguistics, translation etc.

Edu-blog – An education oriented blog.

Progblog - A progressive blog. 

Problog- Blog of Professional Blogger

Blogoholic - Person addicted to blogging

Meme - An idea, project, statement or even a question that is posted by one blog and responded to by other blogs.

Newbie -Term applied to someone new to a discussion or blog.

Permalink - The unique URL of a single post on a blog, used when anyone wants to link specifically to a post rather than to the most recently updated page of a blog.

SEO - search engine optimization to improve your search engine rankings.
